President Zelensky has now established the ‘gold standard’ for political leadership of this generation. Compare him a former comedian turned statesman with the half basked comedian who is our Prime Minister

It’s hard to see much good news coming out of Ukraine but perhaps whatever terrible things happen there, good may come of it.

In the short-term we have seen what bravery amongst politicians really means. President Zelensky rejected the offer of safe passage and faced the enemy from the heart of Kyiv. His famous saying, “Don’t send me a ticket, send me ammunition”, should be engraved not only on his tombstone but on the heart of every leader of a democratic country. I hope that few if any will have to face the ultimate challenge but perhaps in their everyday lives all politicians will remember what courage really means.
